ARK is a totally vegan restaurant and a cocktail bar based in Copenhagen. Here, guests can enjoy well-cooked food in a relaxed, stylish environment in Danish design. The menu is controlled by the seasons and by both local and global influences. The dishes come in smaller servings to be able to share.
The cocktail bar offers unique, natural and / or organic wines, unconventional beers from Mikkeller and a drink menu inspired by the Nordic countries. ARK is part of Mother Company, a Danish restaurant group, which also presents the concepts Soul and Bistro Lupa. Now Frontage has the task of taking ARK to Stockholm.
Essence is a unique concept with a so-called “counter dining experience” where guests sit directly at the kitchen and are served by the chefs while the food is prepared in front of them. The idea is to offer the opportunity to interact with their guests and to provide an honest and unique restaurant service where you can show and tell your guests in detail everything about what they eat, where it came from and how it was cooked.
Essence was opened, and it has managed to run a profitable business, during the Covid-19 pandemic. They have received very good ratings from guests as well as national newspapers such as Dagens Industri (a Swedish financial newspaper), who rated Essence twice in 2020 with respectable 22/25 points. This placed them among Sweden’s highest ranked restaurants, even better than many Michelin Star restaurants. The founder of the concept is Stefan Taylor with a Michelin Star background in many countries in Europe.
